Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer guided painting workshops, both public and private events. Public events are scheduled sessions open to anyone, which are perfect for a solo outing, date night, or a casual get-together with friends or family. I also host private events for groups, such as bachelorette parties, baby showers, birthdays, family and friends celebrations, clubs, corporate team-building, and other organizations. Private events can be customized to fit your occasion. Every workshop includes all supplies and step-by-step guidance, so no art experience is needed either way.
-
Not at all! My workshops are designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced painters. I guide everyone step by step, so you'll leave with a finished piece you're proud of no matter where you're starting from.
-
My workshops feel different from the typical paint-and-sip — more relaxed, more personal, and less about producing a "perfect" piece. Groups stay small and intimate so everyone gets hands-on guidance from me directly, not a crowded room and a generic template.
I'm also not a franchise; when you book, you're booking me specifically, and my background in design and psychology shapes how I teach. I host public workshops at venues around the area, and for private events, I'm also happy to come to you — your home, a venue, or your office — whatever fits your group best.
-
You can reach me anytime via my contact page or email (creatingwithjenny@gmail.com). I aim to respond quickly (within 2-5 business days).
-
Check the public events calendar on the website for upcoming dates and register directly online. Spots are limited, so I'd recommend booking ahead of time. If you don’t see a date/time that works for your schedule, please join the Creating With Jenny mailing list to be notified when new options are added.
Getting Started
-
Quite a bit! Here's what you can expect:
All supplies: Beautiful, artist-quality paints, paper, and brushes that glide, blend, and glow in ways beginner sets can't match. I’ve got everything you need for the session. Just show up (& maybe bring a friend).
Expert, step-by-step instruction: I guide you through the entire painting from start to finish, so you're never left wondering what to do next.
A warm, welcoming atmosphere: Workshops are designed to feel relaxed and encouraging, not intimidating. There's no pressure to be "good," the goal is to enjoy the process.
Small group experience: I keep groups intimate so everyone gets personal attention and real guidance throughout the session.
A finished painting to take home: Something you made with your own hands that you'll actually want to hang on the wall.
Refreshments: Depending on the occasion and venue, refreshments will be provided and/or available for purchase. Details for your specific event are provided prior to your registration.
-
Most workshops run about 2 to 3 hours, though private events can be customized to a shorter or longer format depending on your group's preference.
-
For public workshops, the painting is selected ahead of time and listed on the event registration page. Review the available options to pick one that speaks to you! For private events, we'll work together to choose a painting that fits your group's vibe or occasion.
-
Creating With Jenny workshops are fairly low-mess, but I'd still recommend wearing something you don't mind getting a little paint on, just in case.
-
This depends on the venue. For public workshops, check the specific event listing for venue policies. For private events hosted at your own location, you're welcome to bring whatever you'd like to make the event feel special.

Partnerships & Business Inquiries
-
Yes! I love partnering with local bars, wineries, breweries, and other venues to host paint and sip events on-site. It's a great way to bring a fun, creative experience to your space and attract new customers. If you're interested in partnering, reach out through the contact form (or email me at creatingwithjenny@gmail.com) with some details about your venue and what you have in mind, and we can discuss scheduling, format, and pricing together.

Reach out anytime through the contact form on the website or directly at creatingwithjenny@gmail.com. I'm always happy to help with questions about workshops, private events, or anything else.

For public workshops: If you let me know 7+ days before the event, I’m happy to offer you a full refund or credit toward a future public workshop (your choice). If you provide 3-6 days notice, I’m happy to provide a 50% refund or full credit toward a future public workshop. If notice is provided less than 48 hours before the event or you no-show, your registration fee is non-refundable. If you’d like to transfer your spot to someone else at no charge, you can do so by providing at least 24 hours notice.
For standard private events with no custom painting or content created: If you let me know more than 14 days in advance, I’m happy to help you reschedule and apply your deposit toward a future date or offer a full refund (your choice). If you provide 3-13 day notice, your deposit converts to a credit for a future date (no cash refund), as I’ve likely turned down other bookings to hold your date. If you let me know under 48 hours or no show, your deposit is forfeited entirely.
For events where we’ve arranged custom content or painting designs: Once the custom design work has begun, the deposit becomes non-refundable, regardless of cancellation timing. If the event is rescheduled (not cancelled) with at least 7 days notice, the custom artwork/design carries over to the new date at no extra charge.

Workshops may be photographed for use in marketing and social media. If you'd prefer not to be included, just let me know before or at the start of the event and I'll make sure to accommodate that.
